Mark Bosworth, founder of property management company Gorenter.com, Bosworth Commercial, and Mark Bosworth and Associates, was banned in early April from conducting real estate business in Arizona by the state Department of Real Estate.

     The real estate investment market is bigger and more lucrative than suspected, according to a new study released in April.       

Ah, the balm of perspective. We hear a lot nowadays about cycles and how long this one will take to rise again and so on and so forth. And frankly, things are really crappy out there due to a crisis of confidence in just about everything.

 Two people I've interviewed in the past week had interesting comments on the same topic. One man was a research economist with Texas A & M. The other was a Colorado-based hard money lender.

 The economist (Jim Gaines) and I discussed the long-term outlook for the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He mentioned the area will continue to do well with a diversified economy and one to two percent job growth. He also mentioned areas that won't do well: the northern fringes of Dallas-Fort Worth, specifically newer communities.

Countrywde Financial CEO and Orange One Angelo Mozilo stepped in front of a House committee last week examining outrageous executive compensation at a time when companies are hemorraghing billions. (The New York Times coverage here.)

In the Jan. / Feb. edition of Personal Real Estate Investor, we published a cover story entitled "Foreclosures: America, You're Being Misled."

 The mainstream press is beginning to question the true dimensions of the subprime collapse. A story by Scott Burns on MSN Money (click here) published yesterday said the "crisis" is overblown for three main reasons (the following paragraphs are direct quotes):

 A story in the main Arizona daily today caught our attention. The article trumpeted the fact that rentals are cheaper on the outskirts of town. This is applicable to most cities, which is why we decided to comment on it today.
